
Maria is a movement instructor with more than 15 years of experience, with extensive training in Yoga and Pilates. Since March 2026, she has been a member of the Chania Physiotherapy Clinic (CHPC) team, where she works as a Pilates Instructor.
She has completed 300 hours of training in Pilates Mat and Reformer with Elif Atay, developing specialised knowledge in the correct performance and adaptation of Pilates exercises according to each individual’s level, abilities, and needs. She has also undertaken specialised training in Therapeutic Exercise with Josie McKenlay.
Maria has completed more than 1,200 hours of Yoga training, specialising in Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, and Therapeutic Yoga. She is a Senior Yoga Teacher and Yoga Teacher Trainer, with extensive experience in training and mentoring new Yoga instructors.
Her approach to Pilates focuses on quality of movement, body control, correct technique, and safe exercise, adapting each session to the individual needs and abilities of every participant.
Maria’s academic background is in English Language and Literature, and she also holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Methodology. This academic and educational background enhances her ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to provide structured, individualised instruction.
At CHPC, Maria exclusively provides Pilates Reformer sessions.
